The details will be finalized closer to date but we will be doing the second half of the Great South West Walk loop from Nelson to Portland, along the coastal section. We will be walking for 7 days, longest day is 22kms so you will have to have reasonable level of fitness.

Time: Leaving early Friday morning

Experience required:  Intermediate (if you are unsure if this hike is for you please contact the trip leader) 

Destination: Nelson to Portland (125km) along the ocean side of the track

Approx cost: ~$150 TOTAL (Fuel + gear hire + campsites + 1 night accomodation in Nelson) + food

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the right gear. Trip leaders can answer questions you might have. If you don't have the right gear you may get left at uni and leaders might be unwilling to take you in the future.

• For the time being only fully vaccinated club members will be able to attend face to face trips. Please make sure you have your proof of vaccination available to show the trip leader. 
• All participants must wash hands/equipment before and after use
• Anyone with any COVID-19 symptoms (e.g. excessive coughing, sore throat) or are at higher risk (ie. have returned from overseas within the last 14 days or have close contact with a confirmed case) can not join the trip. Should anyone show any of the symptoms while in attendance, the trip will be cancelled immediately with an incident form filed to LaTrobe Sport 
• If you are unable to attend, you must immediately notify the trip organiser so your spot can be offered to someone else
