Come along on a trip along the great ocean drive!!
Here's the rough plan!
Day 1: Wednesday
8:00 am: Depart from LTU carpark 6 near the sport centre
9:30 am: Arrive in Torquay, the starting point of the Great Ocean Road. Visit the Torquay Surf Beach.
11:00 am: Drive to Lorne (we can buy some snacks or food for dinner here)
1:00 pm: Continue driving along the Great Ocean Road, stopping at scenic lookouts and beaches along the way, such as Teddy's Lookout, Anglesea Beach, and the Split Point Lighthouse.
3:00 pm: Arrive in Apollo Bay and stop for a late lunch and explore the town. (Knowing this, do have a heavier breakfast and some light snack for the journey there)
Afterwards we will head to campsite.
Day 2: Thursday
Hiking in the Great Otway National Park. Some popular trails include the Cape Otway Lightstation Walk, the Triplet Falls Walk, and the Blanket Bay to Parker Hill Walk. We can choose one of them suitable for the group.
(We will have a picnic lunch on the trail or at a scenic location in the park)
3:30 pm: Head back to Melbourne.
What to bring:
1. Enough food for two lunches, one breakfast, and snacks. You can bring food for dinner too or buy it in Lorne during the way there
2. At least 3L of water.
3. Tent
4. Sleeping mat
5. Sleeping bag
6. Stove (optional, if you want to cook)
7. Torch
8. Cloth for cold weather and hiking
9. Own medication if needed
Avaliability on this trip depends on the number of drivers. Currently we are running a bit short on drivers. If you could drive, it would be much appreciated!!
