Ho! Ho! Ho! If you only make one trip to the snow this winter, this is the trip.

The plan. Depart Melbourne on Friday evening arriving at Falls Creek around 11pm.  We'll grab our packs, don ski's and undertake a midnight ascent to Edmonson Hut (~10km via Heathy Spur Track) arriving in the early hours of the morning to grab some well earned rest.  Saturday we'll explore and play then share a festive dinner together then returning back to Falls Creek village and then Melbourne late on Sunday.

ROC trip

Trip Leader: Xan & Scott Penno (from ROC) 

Time: leaving Friday ~5pm, returning late Sunday

Experience required:  Intermediate (must be comfortable skiing with an overnight pack on)

You need to have been overnight hiking before and have the required cold weather gear.

Approx cost: ~$90 (Fuel ~$30-50 + ~$30 resort entry + gear hire (max $25 if hired from club) + food

Gear: The questions below will help the trip organiser work out who needs to hire what.  Skis/boots/poles ($15 for weekend). Other items capped at $25 if hired from club)

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the right gear. Trip leaders can answer questions you might have. If you dont have the right gear you may get left at uni and leaders might be unwilling to take you in the future.
