Guest speaker - Gowri Varanashi

Gowri will be sharing a range of topics, starting with giving us an idea of the general climbing scene in India, climbing destinations or crags along with photos and visuals, where climbing is at right now and where it's heading. She will also share her personal journey in climbing, founding Climb Like A Woman and how her and her team are trying to create space for women to encourage them and empower women through climbing in a culture where women are not expected to do outdoor sports or activities. She will take us through the changes she has seen in terms of women in the climbing space and the general challenges or successes the Indian climbing community has faced.

Members are invited to join us at La Trobe Uni campus: Glen College Lecture theatre AD-107 at 6pm. Pizzas provided if you're attending on campus so do register so we can cater to everyone!
