Planning an overnight trip to Mt feathertop before the ski season starts to keep the alpine fitness. It will still be cold with chances of snow light snow. Especially near the summit.
The plan is to drive up on friday night and camp at smoko campground. Then packup camp and head up to feathertop camping near federation but (tbc if either up bungalow spur or across Razorback) on Saturday. Then head back on sunday.

Experience required: Intermediate Need to be comfortable with the 1500m elevation gain up to the top (or ups and downs on well marked but uneven track if we go via Razorback) m
Destination: Mt Feathertop (2nd highest peak in Victoria)

Approx cost: ~$100 – ($60-100 fuel/transport (depends on people in cars) + gear hire (max $15 if hired from club for weekend) + your own food

The weather will be cold so I would recommend considering a few items and advice from the snow camping list.

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the right gear. Trip leaders can answer questions you might have. If you don't have the right gear you may get left at uni and leaders might be unwilling to take you in the future.
