This winter the club will be offering an introduction to snow craft course run by the amazing Matt Wilson (https://www.instagram.com/drmattwilsony?igsh=MXB0Z3lwamhvbHRycw==) This will be a great opportunity for anyone wanting to learn some cool mountaineering techniques to take our adventures to new heights or to get more comfortable in the snow and reading landscape conditions.
This is open to all current members who have some snow and hiking experience however spots are very limited due to teaching ratios. We will be offering the training to those who regularly commit to club trips during the year and those who can demonstrate the value of doing these training courses to the club and running trips over the next 6-12 months.
The course will be running over a weekend in August. You MUST also attend a theory session, which will take place on a weeknight at the spots centre. Date TBC. You cannot attend the training if you do not go to the theory session.
There will be a cost to participants, to pay for some part of the course.
