This event has passed.
Unfortunately the snow season is ending much earlier than hoped this year, due to unseasonably warm weather and rain, but we will be having one last hurrah to winter, and skiing for 2024!
This trip will not be suitable for beginners as the snow conditions will be very variable, with thin cover and hazards, so intermediate ski skills will be a must. There may also be some hiking to get to snow patches depending on where we go, and the weather may play havock with our plans.
At this stage we will plan to travel up towards falls and camp at the Smoko campground Friday night. From there we will hope to make it out to one of the huts on the bogong high plains for some snow camping on Saturday night, or we may instead do some day tours or the inbound downhill runs depending on snow cover and weather.
