The club is offering some subsidised anchor setting training for members. This course will go over some of the basics of safety setting top rope anchors in an outdoor setting. This will include rope management, knots and some basic gear setting.

This is only available to current LUMC members for 2018, however spots are very limited. We will be offering the training to those who regularly commit to club trips during the year and those who can demonstrate the value of doing these training courses to the club and running trips over the next 6-12 months.

In order to attend the course you must be regularly climbing indoors and have attend an outdoor climbing trip. Please make sure to outline your climbing ability (top rope and/or lead) when you fill in the form.

The course will be running on Saturday 3rd November. You MUST also attend a theory session, which will take place on a weeknight at the spots centre. Date TBC. You cannot attend the outdoor training if you do not go to the theory session.

There will be a cost to participants, to pay for some part of the course, likely to be around $40 (TBC), part of which will form a deposit. Payment will be required to secure your spot.
