Victorian Backcountry Festival at Mt Hotham

Lodge accommodation on the mountain is an option Otherwise we will also be snowcamping at JB plain near Hotham. (Much cheaper)
 

Experience required:  Intermediate +

You need to have been overnight hiking before and have the required gear. 
This festival is aimed at people that have the backcountry snow bug and want to learn more and do short trips/cources with likemined individuals. Program is TBC but there is likely to be a mix of Talks, Workshops and Tours (for those with high ski ability and gear). Even if the spring snow isnt amazing there will still be heaps to do!

Approx cost: ~$100 (if camping, more if accommodation) (Fuel ~$50-80 + ~$30 resort entry + gear hire (max $25 if hired from club) + food + festival entry

Gear The questions below will help the trip organiser work out who needs to hire what.  Skis/boots/poles ($15 for weekend). Other items capped at $25 if hired from club)

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the right gear. Trip leaders can answer questions you might have. If you dont have the right gear you may get left at uni and leaders might be unwilling to take you in the future.
