Rock climbing, hiking and camping at Cathedral Ranges.

Join us for some top rope climbing at Sugarloaf boulders, the Wells Cave hike (same as on big weekend) and camping at the Cooks Mill campground overnight.

Time: Departing early Saturday 17th returning in the afternoon of Sunday 18th November

Experience required:  Intermediate- you must be able to belay a top rope climber without supervision and have a good understanding of outdoor climbing safety in order to attend. You must climb indoors and have attended at least one outdoor climbing trip. 

Destination: Cathedral Ranges 

Approx cost:  Your share of fuel ~$20, gear hire ~$10-20, camping fees ~$10 per person

What to bring: Sturdy runners or boots, Daypack, water for two days (at least 3 liters per day plus extra for cooking), your own food (2x lunches, 1x dinner and breakfast), stove and fuel, tent, sleeping bag and sleeping mat; climbing harness, shoes and helmet (not optional), Gear store will only be open on Tuesday 13th following the AGM at around 7.30pm 

Climbing gear - bring harness and shoes if you have them otherwise you will need to come along to gear store opening to try on. You must bring or hire a helmet

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the right gear. Trip leaders can answer questions you might have. If you don't have the right gear you may get left at uni and leaders might be unwilling to take you in the future.
