On Saturday we will head to Warburton to and take on the iconic hike to Mt Donna Buang. Highlights will include giant tree ferns, the possibility of seeing a lyrebird and great views. However, this hike is quite strenous and involves over 1000m of ascent. In fact it is often used as training for bigger expeditions.

A moderate level of fitness is required. In terms of gear, gaiters and thermals are recommended on top of the standard day hiking gear.

It is your responsibility to ensure you have the right gear. Trip leaders can answer questions you might have. If you don't have the right gear you may get left at uni and leaders might be unwilling to take you in the future.
