Experience required: Intermediate- Advanced

Destination: Labertouche. 

Description: this is a great opportunity to learn some cave leading skills. We will have a skilled guide for the day who will step us through  cave navigation, setting up a cave ladder and abseiling, as well as group management and safety underground. This training is suitable for those who have been through a couple of caves and would like to look at leading and gaining some more skills. You must also be comfortable abseiling. Get in touch if you are not sure if the training is suitable for you. Please note that places are very limited so fill in this expression of interest and I will get in touch if you are successful. Applications will be selected based on your previous experience and potential to contribute towards the club in the future. 

Approx cost: the cost for our guide/instructor the day has been heavily subsidized by the club. You will need to pay $20 towards the training in addition to $10 gear hire +petrol to your driver.  

What to bring: Clothes you're happy to get filthy (& possibly scuffed or torn)!!! Long sleeves (overalls are great), runners/boots (closed-toed), garbage bag (to store filthy stuff), Helmet & Headtorch (available for hire from club). You'll also want a towel and a change of clothes to change into for afterwards.
