The next Rogaine is coming up! Come and walk around the beautiful forest of Mullundung for 6/12hrs practicing navigation skills and finding checkpoints. No experience necessary. I will be doing the 12 hr and camping overnight on Sat night before driving home
Trip Leader: Emily
Date: 27-28 March
Time: Leave early on Sat, return Sun afternoon (6hr might be possible to return on sat evening)
Experience required: Beginner
We can run though some basic map reading prior to the day if you want
Approx cost: ~$50 ($35 registration fee with VRA + share in petrol cost, gear hire if you need)
Signups close: 19 March so we can enter the club teams before the late date
What to bring:
Sturdy runners or boots, Daypack, compass, whistle, raincoat, water, food (what you would normally take on a day walk). If you need to hire items, we can open gear store a few days before
We will be camping overnight after the rogaine and returning early Sunday morning. Camping gear is available for hire from the club. If you are doing the 6hr, it may be possible to come back Saturday, although it would be better for you to camp the night rather than driving after the event.

Hopefully things will run smoothly although there is a risk that large events like Rogaines could get cancelled by the everchanging Covid restrictions. If this happens we will go for a bushwalk instead (assuming ok in restrictions)
It is your responsibility to ensure you have the right gear. Trip leaders can answer questions you might have. If you dont have the right gear you may get left at uni and leaders might be unwilling to take you in the future.
