Navigation training!

The club is planning to run some basic navigation training. The aim is to get you more confident reading a topographic map and practice out in the bush (and maybe even get you hooked on Rogaining!). We ran a similar session last year and people found it valuable in increasing their skills.

Please fill in the form below if you are interested in attending.

Details
Part 1 - classroom session
Part 2 - navigating in the bush (a 6hr rogaine) https://www.lumc.org.au/events/90100/

Dates:
Part 1- 10 Mar
Part 2 - 27 Mar https://www.lumc.org.au/events/90100/ - register for part 2 here

Cost - ~$45 (your entry to the rogaine and transport). The club will provide all the materials for the classroom session.

We will sort out teams, payment and enter the rogaine at the end of the classroom session
For part 2 you will need what you would normally take on a day walk (daypack, boots/runners, raincoat etc).

Spots are limited to about 20, we will give preference to people keen to go on more club trips and those who are working towards being involved in Bush Search and Rescue. If there's a huge demand we might be able to run another session later in the year.

If you say you are going to attend, please do or let us know otherwise so we can give your spot to someone else!

What to bring:

Sturdy runners or boots, Daypack, compass, whistle, raincoat, water, food (what you would normally take on a day walk).  Gear store will be open the Tuesday before the trip
